Denver Health clinicians faced challenges in their electronic health record (EHR) system, including multiple locations for assessments and difficulties in finding specific patient data due to inconsistencies. This resulted from early fragmented EHR design and a lack of standardization.
Nursing had low compliance with real-time documentation, partly due to the perception of multiple data entry points and non-actionable alerts. The proposal aimed to streamline EHR documentation, focusing on head-to-toe assessments, nursing interventions, intake assessments, and optimizing alerts.
Based off Denver’s solution proposal, Terlumina’s automated compliance software would enhance compliance across all healthcare systems. Specifically, by streamlining processes, providing real-time alerts and reminders, reducing errors, integrating with EHR systems, and offering monitoring and reporting capabilities. It ultimately makes the documentation process more efficient, accurate, and manageable for healthcare providers, leading to improved patient care and regulatory compliance.
